About

Dr. Laura N. Bartlett joined the Materials Science and Engineering department of Missouri University of Science and Technology as an adjunct Assistant Professor in Jan. 2015 and was named the Robert V. Wolf Associate Professor of Metal Casting in July 2016. Prior to that she was Assistant professor and Key Professor of Metalcasting Technology at Texas State University. She earned her B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from Missouri S&T in 2008 and 2012 respectively.

Dr. Bartlett's research interest areas include the understanding of melt processing and solidification phenomena on structure-property relationships in ferrous and non-ferrous casting alloys, the thermodynamics and kinetics of high temperature reactions in the melt, solid state reactions during heat treatment, and physical and mechanical metallurgy of irons and steels.
