Abstract
Langmuir's asymptotic results for weakly interacting plane-parallel double layers are generalized to account for dissimilar double layers and mixtures of symmetric and unsymmetric electrolytes. Good agreement between the asymptotic results and exact numerical results of Devereux and de Bruyn and Levine and Suddaby is found over a wide range of potentials and plate separations.
