Abstract

The Article Focuses on the Influence of Acculturation on the Dining-Out Behavior of Chinese People in the United States. a Popular Acculturation Scale, Acculturation Rating Scale for Mexican Americans (ARSMA), Was Adapted and Applied to the Chinese Population in a College Town in New England. Then, the Sample Was Grouped into Clusters based on the Three Types of Assimilation (I.e., Integration, Identification, and Acculturation) and their Dining-Out Behavior Was Examined Across the Groups. the Results Showed that the Type of Assimilation and Acculturation Did Have Some Impact on Dining-Out Behavior. © 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All Rights Reserved.
