Dr. Jonathan Obrist-Farner is an Assistant Professor of Geology and Geophysics in the department of Geosciences and Geological and Petroleum Engineering at Missouri S&T. He has Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Geology and Geophysics from Missouri S&T and B.S. in Geology and B.A. in Psychology from Wichita State University.

Dr. Obrist-Farner is a sedimentologist, stratigrapher, and paleoclimatologist interested in understanding the evolution of sedimentary basins and the tectonic, climatic, and anthropogenic controls on sedimentary basin evolution.
