Dr. Jiangfan Zhang joined Missouri S&T as Assistant Professor in Communications and Signal Processing Area in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department in January 2018. He received his Bachelor's degree in Communication Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, M.S. in Information and Communication Engineering from Zhejiang University and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Lehigh University. Dr. Zhang was a postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia University from 2016-2018.

Dr. Zhang's master's research topic was about acoustic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) detection and estimation in waveguide. His doctoral dissertation investigated selected topics concerning sensor networks which focus on solving signal detection and estimation problems.
